Wildbrooches is a small website business based in Canberra ACT. I am Deb and I am the sole operator of Wildbrooches. Under normal conditions, I aim to process and mail domestic orders within 3-5 working days. New Releases for Erstwilder ranges typically occur at 1230 on a Tuesday (once or twice a month). For new releases I aim to have all orders mailed by the Saturday following the release. Where my primary job requires me to be interstate, I may delay a release or put up a notice to advertises the expected wait times for processing and mailing.
Domestic Shipping: I generally use Australia Post flat rate domestic shipping satchels. I charge a flat rate of $11.00 per order. If an order is too much to fit into a satchel I may send in two satchels or upgrade to a box. I generally cover the excess shipping for domestic orders.
International Shipping: due to work commitments and personal constraints I am not offering International Shipping at the moment as I do not have to capacity to allocate the time and resources required for the additional packaging and customs documentation required for International orders.
About our products
ERSTWILDER: Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand there can be fingerprint marks and very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are. Small bubbles and flecks are not considered to be faults. Any items that do not pass our quality inspection will be identified as Imperfects and sold as such. Your item has been inspected and meets the reasonable standard for handmade resin and hand painted items – any minor bubbles or tiny marks are not considered faults on these handmade items and returns will not be accepted for minor marks/bubbles.
OTHER BRANDS: All the products on Wildbrooches are handmade, as such there may be small variations from piece to piece (be they resin, Galalith, celluloid or enamel). Makers marks and small blemishes are unavoidable when working with some mediums. Makers may use a brooch back that is silver plated – silver plated clasps will tarnish and this is not considered a fault. Should a brooch back pin pop off there are tutorials available to reinsert the pin – this is not a fault – it is the nature of brooch findings used my many makers.
HANDLE WITH CARE: Please treat your items with care. Materials such as resin, celluloid and galalith should be handled the same way you would take care of glass. These materials can break of dropped on a hard surface (like bathroom tiles and roads). We do not accept liability for items damaged by impact. To clean your brooches use a soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or expose your pieces to perfumes, cremes or lotions. Should your piece get wet, please dry it as quickly as possible
We do offer refunds for change of mind. If an item is damaged in transit your parcel is insured for up to $100 and you will be asked to lodge a claim with Australia Post and will be required to provide all packaging as evidence of secure packaging – remembering the box the brooch is is is actually packaging. Returns for credit (if agreed to in writing within 24 hours of receipt) are at customer expense, no credit will be issued for postage costs. If you wish to add more insurance please advise us in writing at time of purchase to arrange additional coverage
Our returns policy (for damaged or faulty items) lasts 7 days (noting conditions above). You must contact us within 48 hours of recipes to discuss any issues with your product.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. These include gift cards, earrings and any products that have been worn.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase from Wildbrooches – we will not process claims for goods purchased from other suppliers.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Refunds (store credit only)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your store credit.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed as a store credit, You will be issued with a store credit code to use on our website
Sale items
Sale items are non refundable. Sale items include products that are sold as imperfect (as specified).
Shipping returns
To return your product, you should mail your product to the address we provide you if a return is approved.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item for change of mind. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a store credit, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your credit.
